During the summer break in class sessions, I decided to work on my own on koi, especially in bigger sizes. I found that I’d forgotten some of the “rules,” such as which parts get painted first. Plus I got caught up in the tricky diamond-shaped scales, which I’m not sure I like to include.
I look forward to starting class again later this month, so I can get formal instruction and reminders on some of the tricks of the trade.
